Security Engineer

About the role

As a Security Engineer at SD Worx, you will protect the company’s IT landscape across infrastructure, cloud, and workplace environments. You will ensure security controls are effective, continuously adapted to emerging threats, and aligned with business priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead advanced security reviews, threat analysis and risk assessments, turning findings into concrete improvements.
• Design and enhance security monitoring, detection and response capabilities, providing metrics to senior stakeholders.
• Improve security infrastructure and configurations, including IAM, system hardening, SIEM, IDS/IPS/XDR, and propose new controls based on CIS benchmarks.
• Oversee vulnerability management, patching and secure configuration processes, prioritising remediation based on exploitability and business impact.
• Perform complex incident response and forensic investigations, capture lessons learned and embed improvements.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and advisory skills with the ability to coach cross‑functional teams.
• End‑to‑end accountability for security control implementation and continuous improvement.
• Proactive mindset to capture security evolutions and translate them into actionable changes.
• Experience working in a multi‑country environment (26+ countries).
