Senior Accountant

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Senior Accountant will own the accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of client entities. You will support the administration of trusts, companies and other structures while contributing to wider business projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑standard client service, understand expectations and manage relationships with clients and intermediaries.
• Take primary responsibility for timely accounting, portfolio services and record‑keeping across complex structures.
• Prepare financial statements, management accounts, and corporate tax returns (including APS, PAYE, TDS, VAT) in line with IFRS/IAS requirements.
• Handle client correspondence, attend meetings, and provide relevant financial information.
• Identify and address review points, ensure compliance with internal procedures and controls.
• Share technical knowledge, mentor new joiners, and support supervisory projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting and financial reporting for multiple entities.
• Strong judgment for risk assessment and escalation.
• Ability to build trusted professional relationships with clients and intermediaries.
• Commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• IFRS and IAS reporting standards.
• Preparation of corporate income tax returns, APS, PAYE, TDS, VAT.
• Financial statement preparation and management accounts.
• Portfolio accounting for trusts and companies.
