Senior Manager - Investment Solutions

About the role

AfrAsia Bank is looking for a Senior Manager - Investment Solutions to lead and coordinate investment-related solutions across Security Services (including custody), the Execution Desk, External Asset Manager (EAM) relationships and Structured Products. The role reports to the Head of Investment Solutions and ensures clients and relationship teams receive efficient, compliant and commercially relevant access to execution, custody, external managers and structured products, with robust governance, risk controls and service standards. The closing date is 29 October 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the operating model, service proposition and governance framework for custody/security services, execution, EAMs and structured products.
• Translate the Investment Solutions strategy into measurable priorities and service standards.
• Provide senior advisory support to relationship managers and investment professionals.
• Lead execution across asset classes and venues, monitor routing, execution quality, market access, brokers, allocations and exceptions, and ensure segregation of duties with operations, risk and compliance.
• Own EAM onboarding, agreements, mandates, access, reporting and relationship reviews, including coordination of investment, operational, legal, compliance and risk assessments.
• Monitor mandate adherence, fees, conflicts, client experience and remediation.
• Lead sourcing, assessment, selection and lifecycle management in line with suitability and risk appetite, and coordinate issuer due diligence, term sheets, pricing, approvals, booking, monitoring and redemption.
• Ensure transparent communication of costs, risks, liquidity and issuer exposure, and embed best execution, market conduct, AML/CFT, sanctions, product governance and record keeping.
• Maintain risk registers, procedures and evidence for reviews, escalate breaches and incidents, and coach colleagues as a subject-matter expert.
• Partner with private banking, investment management, legal, compliance, operations, finance and technology, develop provider and broker relationships, and identify opportunities to improve client penetration, revenue and efficiency.
• Drive automation, data quality, MI and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Law or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification or professional certification preferred.
• Relevant regulatory, investment, securities, capital-markets or wealth-management certification as required.
• Strong working knowledge of English; French or other relevant languages advantageous.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in investment solutions, private banking, securities services, custody, execution, EAM coverage, structured products or capital markets.
• Experience managing stakeholders, external providers and regulated financial-services processes.
• Experience in Mauritius and/or cross-border wealth management is advantageous.

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of product governance, due diligence, best execution, suitability, operational risk and client servicing.
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder and provider relationships and to balance commercial opportunities with governance and risk.
