Software Developer Intern

About the role

Dayforce is seeking a motivated Software Developer Intern to join its Mauritius team for a 6‑month internship starting June 2026. The role offers hands‑on experience working with seasoned engineers on cloud‑based HCM solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and test software applications and solutions.
• Assist in coding, debugging, and troubleshooting software issues to ensure smooth functionality.
• Participate in the development and enhancement of existing software products.
• Support the implementation of software best practices and coding standards.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver quality results.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong academic performance in programming, algorithms, data structures, and related courses.
• Passionate about learning new technologies and working in a tech environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of programming languages such as C#, Java, C++, Python, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks) is a plus.
