Solutions Manager – Lead Development Team

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Solutions Manager to lead a team of developers within the Innovation Solutions team at Dayforce. The role blends technical leadership, people management, and solution delivery, focusing on building tools, automations, and scalable solutions that support internal teams such as Services, Implementation, Customer Success, and Support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Design and deliver scalable tools, automations, and solutions for multiple internal business functions.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle from ideation through deployment and ongoing support.
• Partner with stakeholders across Services, Implementation, Customer Success, Support, and other teams to identify opportunities and deliver value‑driven solutions.
• Translate business challenges into technical solutions and guide the team through execution.
• Establish and enforce best practices in architecture, coding standards, testing, and deployment.
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture and cloud best practices.
• Assess risks, dependencies, and impacts on existing systems as new capabilities are introduced.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing and leading software development teams.
• Strong technical background with hands‑on experience in modern development stacks.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly Azure infrastructure.
• Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and their practical application in business solutions.
• Solid understanding of modern web technologies and relational databases.
• Experience in agile development environments and excellent stakeholder management skills.
