Storekeeper - Galaxy, Service Centre & Warehouse

About the role

The brandhouse Mauritius is looking for a Storekeeper for its Galaxy, service centre and warehouse operations. The main purpose of the role is to receive, maintain and ensure the distribution of consumer electronic products and spare parts. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Retail and service centre: maintain security and control of storerooms and storage areas; receive and inspect items and reconcile them against purchase or transfer orders; perform cycle counts and generate variance reports; prepare goods and related documents for delivery; keep the store and delivery bays clean.
• Service centre: assist customers and employees with spare parts requests and queries, process and follow up on them and give prompt feedback.
• Warehouse: monitor the preparation of goods for customers within acceptable time frames; receipt and verify incoming local and foreign purchases and report issues to the Warehouse Team Leader; ensure outgoing stock matches customer orders in description, quantity and quality; optimise warehouse space for incoming products; raise Goods Received Notes for all foreign purchases; insert warranty cards into products during internal transfers or delivery; segregate, tag and monitor loan and bumped items; carry out cycle counts on schedule; keep the warehouse tidy.

Required profile

• HSC qualification.
• A minimum of 2 years' work experience in the field.
• Service-oriented attitude and good product knowledge.
• Fluent in English and French, written and spoken.
• IT literate, able to work independently and in a team, and able to work odd hours and under pressure.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of MS Office.
