Treasury Manager

About the role

Korridor, a FinTech operating across 13 jurisdictions in Sub-Saharan Africa, is hiring a Treasury Manager in Mauritius. The role runs the daily treasury operation, reports to the Senior Financial Manager and guides the treasury team. It is pitched as an operational manager rather than a strategy or policy post, and the employment type is to be confirmed.

Key responsibilities

• Run the daily treasury cycle end to end: daily sheet, planning sheet, payment run, bank-deposit windows and funding decisions, and hold the relationship with the banks across twelve channels.
• Produce the daily report to the Senior Financial Manager and Group CFO, the cash forecast and the treasury KPI and performance pack, and report FX exposure and execution quality.
• Act as second approver on payment releases and FX execution, and approve static data and system access, stepping into the approval queue when the Team Leader is unavailable.
• Line-manage the Treasury Team Leader and three Payment Controllers, build named cover for every critical task and be the escalation point for the controllers.
• Identify manual, slow or fragile parts of the routine and propose costed improvements, working with the Senior Financial Manager on automation, straight-through processing, host-to-host feeds and APIs, and bank-fee analysis and account rationalisation.
• Own treasury data requirements and shared definitions with FP&A and Central Finance, and sign off testing when changes go live.
• Support treasury policy drafting, operating model and system selection, working capital optimisation, hedging strategy and counterparty credit limits, and support internal and external audit and the six-monthly payment-fraud and bank-channel security review.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
• Comfortable stepping into the payment approval queue as backup when the Team Leader is unavailable or at capacity.
• Ability to deal with banks and manage a small team while producing daily reports and forecasts personally.
