Class Assistant

About the role

Northfields International School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and proactive Class Assistant to join its vibrant teaching team. The role supports classroom teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive, and child‑centred learning experiences for students aged 18 months to 18 years.

Key responsibilities

• Assist class teachers in planning and delivering inclusive lessons.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and monitor progress.
• Maintain a stimulating, well‑organised, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and social development using supportive approaches.
• Observe, record, and share student progress with teaching staff.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs as required.
• Supervise pupils during break times, lunch, and school trips.
