Fund Accountant

About the role

The Fund Accountant will join Apex Group’s global fund administration team, delivering high‑quality accounting services to a diverse portfolio of funds. You will act as the primary point of contact for brokers, custodians and clients, ensuring accurate NAV calculations and compliance with internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of client service and adhere to Apex policies and procedures.
• Lead onboarding of new NAV operating offices and act as the day‑to‑day liaison with brokers, custodians and fund clients.
• Perform cash and portfolio reconciliations, prepare working files and calculate NAV for assigned funds.
• Update the fund accounting system, confirm trades with brokers and complete ad‑hoc client projects.
• Record all investor transactions, prepare financial statements, management accounts and statutory returns.
• Liaise with auditors during statutory audits and ensure compliance with AML/CFT regulations.
• Organise and attend board meetings, process invoices and bank transfers, and drive efficiency initiatives.

Required skills

• Experience with fund accounting software and accounting systems.
• Cash and portfolio reconciliation expertise.
• NAV calculation and trade confirmation proficiency.
• Preparation of financial statements, management accounts and statutory filings.
• Knowledge of AML/CFT regulations applicable to fund operations.
