Tax Assistant – Graduate Role

About the role

EY RDS is looking for recent graduates to join its Tax Service Line as Tax Assistants. This full‑time position offers the chance to work on client engagements across Africa, develop professional skills, and contribute to risk‑management and tax advisory projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support to in‑country practices and businesses through tax and enablement services.
• Assist senior team members in managing client risk, addressing issues, and identifying opportunities.
• Liaise with senior client representatives and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to the preparation of tax documentation and compliance tasks.

Required profile

• Confident, proactive and responsible individual.
• Motivated, energetic and able to work under pressure.
• Patience and endurance to handle complex problems.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Well‑developed computer literacy.
• Ability to operate efficiently within a team and liaise with senior client personnel.
• Attention to detail, self‑starter attitude and willingness to work long hours when needed.
