Finance Accountant – Record to Report (RTR)

About the role

DHL is looking for a Finance Accountant to join its Record to Report (RTR) team. The role focuses on accurate general ledger maintenance, month‑end closing, and supporting audit and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries in a timely manner.
• Generate month‑end ledger reports and support month‑end closing activities.
• Process daily bank statements, perform daily transitory account clearing, and reconcile bank accounts monthly.
• Manage fixed‑asset transactions including capitalization, disposal, transfer, retirement and produce related reports.
• Issue manual recharges (e.g., SLA recharges) accurately and on schedule.
• Execute inter‑company reconciliations and confirmations according to DPDHL guidelines.
• Support analytical review of balance sheet and profit & loss statements.
• Maintain documentation such as SOPs, job aids, process flows, and period‑end timetables.
• Assist internal and external audit processes and ensure compliance with IFRS, DHL policies, and the Regional Operating Model.

Required profile

• ACCA Level 2 or a degree in Finance/Accounting (or equivalent).
• 2–5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within a large corporate environment.
• Familiarity with Oracle, SAP or SUN finance applications.

Required skills

• Oracle (or SAP/SUN) finance system experience.
• Data extraction using Oracle Discoverer (or similar tools).
• Advanced MS Excel and general MS Office proficiency.
