Accountant – Financial Services (Port Louis)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Accountant to join our team in Port Louis. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing statements, and supporting month‑end and year‑end processes within a dynamic financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and process financial transactions.
• Prepare financial statements, reports and reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly and year‑end closing procedures.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Support budgeting, cash‑flow monitoring and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, auditors and other stakeholders as needed.
• Perform other finance‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Partly or fully ACCA qualified.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
