Assistant Accountant – Capital Markets

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to accurately process accounting records and support the preparation of simple financial statements and management accounts for our capital market clients. The role offers a hybrid working model and the chance to develop within a global, tech‑enabled finance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post final bookkeeping entries for financial statements and management accounts.
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, loans and bank transactions for assigned client portfolios.
• Create or amend supplier and loan cards as required.
• Perform bank, investment and other reconciliations.
• Assist with client VAT returns and basic tax filings.
• Provide bookkeeping and accounting support to the Client Accounting team and contribute to ad‑hoc projects.
• Prepare simple annual financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards.
• Deliver accounting services to clients across various jurisdictions within the Ocorian Group.

Required profile

• Completed ACCA Level 2 (or equivalent qualification).
• Strong attention to confidentiality, data integrity and information security.
• Ability to meet prescribed deadlines and work collaboratively with a global team.
