Assistant Accountant – Fund Accounting

About the role

The Assistant Accountant – Fund Accounting will support the accounting team in processing bookkeeping entries, managing payables and receivables, and preparing basic financial statements for a portfolio of fund clients. The role offers on‑the‑job training to develop competence in fund accounting and related tax filings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post final bookkeeping entries required for financial statements and management accounts.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, loan and bank transactions for assigned client portfolios.
• Create and amend supplier or loan cards as needed.
• Perform bank, investment and other reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing client VAT returns and basic tax returns.
• Provide bookkeeping and accounting support to senior staff and contribute to ad‑hoc projects.
• Prepare simple annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
• Deliver accounting services to clients across various jurisdictions within the Ocorian Group.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with information security policies.

Required profile

• Completed ACC qualification (or equivalent accounting certification).
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet prescribed deadlines.
• Understanding of basic VAT and tax filing requirements.
