Associate Manager - Regulatory Compliance

About the role

The Client Compliance Services team provides Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) services to client companies of IQ-EQ MU. The Associate Manager - Regulatory Compliance ensures that client companies meet their regulatory obligations by supporting the Manager in delivering effective compliance and MLRO services.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Compliance Officer, MLRO and DMLRO for client companies, implementing, monitoring and improving AML/CFT frameworks, policies, procedures and compliance controls.
• Oversee AML/CFT activities, including risk assessments, client file reviews, suspicious transaction reporting, regulatory analysis, compliance reporting and guidance to internal teams and clients.
• Manage regulator relationships: coordinate FSC inspections, respond to regulatory queries, present compliance and risk reports at board meetings, and ensure adherence to laws, regulations and industry best practice.
• Build a strong compliance culture through AML/CFT training, management information and risk reports, and by supervising, coaching and allocating resources to the Client Compliance Services team.
• Support process automation, compliance monitoring systems and controls, safeguard information assets and improve compliance and risk management frameworks.

Required profile

• Degree in Law, Finance, Financial Services or a related compliance discipline.
• 5-7 years of experience in financial services, ideally in compliance or regulatory functions.
• Hands-on experience as a Compliance Officer, MLRO or DMLRO with a strong understanding of AML/CFT requirements.
• Solid knowledge of regulatory compliance, risk management and financial services legislation.
• Analytical, investigative and stakeholder management skills.
