Compliance Assurance Manager

About the role

The Compliance Assurance Manager will lead ABML's compliance monitoring and testing programme, ensuring that the bank adheres to group policies and local regulatory requirements while safeguarding its reputation and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and oversee execution of a comprehensive compliance monitoring and testing program.
• Conduct conformance reviews of key risk areas and apply the predefined compliance methodology.
• Document processes, identify and assess risks, and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls.
• Perform testing, draft concise findings reports, and update the audit tool with working papers.
• Develop testing methodologies and reporting frameworks aligned with industry standards.
• Carry out annual compliance self‑assessment reviews and leverage data analytics for deeper assurance.
• Manage monitoring activities to ensure compliance with group policies and local regulations.
• Provide timely feedback to senior leadership and follow up on action‑plan implementation.
• Track closure of all findings and validate remediation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in compliance monitoring or testing within the banking sector.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and internal control frameworks.
• Ability to analyse processes, assess risks, and produce clear, actionable reports.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong written communication skills.
• Capability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
