Content Moderator – Trust & Safety Specialist

About the role

The Content Moderator – Trust & Safety Specialist will review user‑generated text, images and videos to ensure they comply with platform policies and legal standards. Working remotely, you will help maintain a safe and respectful online environment by identifying and removing harmful content such as hate speech, harassment, misinformation, and graphic material.

Key responsibilities

• Review and act on reported content across text, image and video formats, focusing on high‑priority queues and edge cases that require human judgment.
• Monitor daily queues to detect emerging abuse patterns and promptly escalate them to the Policy team.
• Provide feedback on moderation tool efficiency and suggest workflow improvements to increase speed without sacrificing accuracy.
• Maintain a minimum 95 % accuracy rate on moderation decisions and participate in calibration sessions.
• Investigate removal or suspension cases, make final determinations on reinstatement requests, and serve as a responder during “red‑alert” incidents.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in content moderation, trust & safety operations, or community management for a major tech/social media platform.
• High emotional resilience and ability to review disturbing content while maintaining digital wellness.
• Deep understanding of regional cultural nuances and the ability to differentiate hate speech from protected political expression.
• Proven ability to process 80‑100+ content pieces per hour while preserving quality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with moderation platforms such as Hive, Besedo and Salesforce.
• Competence in Google Workspace for collaboration and reporting.
