Corporate & Commercial Solicitor

About the role

BLC Robert & Associates, a leading law firm described as flexible and diverse, is looking for a solicitor to join its Corporate & Commercial team. The role suits someone who wants to provide practical, hands-on advice on corporate and commercial matters in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective solutions and advice to clients
• Provide legal opinions on corporate and commercial matters
• Draft and review legal documents, agreements and other documents ancillary to transactions
• Attend conference calls and meetings with clients
• Contribute to legal notes, articles and other publications

Required profile

• Preferably qualified as a barrister with at least 2-4 years' experience in the Corporate and Commercial practice area
• Practical hands-on experience dealing with transactional corporate and commercial matters
• Tax knowledge is an advantage
• Able to handle high volumes within tight deadlines without compromising quality
• Sensitivity to client matters and ability to build professional rapport with clients

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of the core laws and principles applicable to corporate and commercial practice
• Ability to apply legal knowledge in a practical, commercially savvy way
• Good communication skills, including producing well-structured legal documents and working in a team
• Integrity, honesty and transparency, with a passion for law and a commitment to learning
