Customer Support Officer (Spare Parts)

About the role

BIA Group sells, rents and provides after-sales services for equipment used in public works, mines, quarries and transport, operating across Europe, Africa and Asia. This Customer Support Officer (Spare Parts) position is attached to the head office and reports to the Team Leader. Its aim is to support increased sales of consumables, tools, spare parts and components. The internal job title is Parts Sales Support Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Commercial stream: work with the Project Manager or the Parts Sales Support Representative to understand customer needs and propose solutions
• Establish sales forecasts with customers and share them with the purchasing department
• Report to customers on order status and analyse market shares by product type
• Take responsibility for the customers assigned to the spare parts activity
• Create quotations and orders in SAP and follow up open quotations to win business
• Process contracts and orders for parts and services, coordinate deliveries with logistics and prepare customer reports and business analysis
• Analyse data with Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts) and work with other departments

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (e.g. in foreign trade) or equivalent by experience
• At least one year of experience in a similar position
• Experience in a similar function in the distribution business, ideally in export and in a spare parts department
• Fluent French and English, written and spoken
• Local Mauritian profile

Required skills

• ERP (SAP is a definite plus)
• MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
