Business Development Executive

About the role

Teak World is a specialty retailer of premium teak products and luxury home décor, founded in 2007, offering curated furniture and décor solutions. It is hiring a full-time on-site Business Development Executive in Grande Pointe aux Piments to grow its customer base and revenue. The role involves meeting prospective clients, presenting product and décor solutions, negotiating terms and closing deals.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities, generate and qualify leads and build a strong sales pipeline.
• Meet prospective clients, understand their needs and present suitable product and décor solutions.
• Negotiate terms to close deals and manage key accounts while maintaining ongoing client relationships.
• Collaborate with the showroom and operations teams to ensure consistent service and follow-through.
• Track performance metrics, prepare sales reports and give feedback on market trends and customer preferences.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales, business development or customer-facing roles, ideally in retail, furniture or home décor.
• Ability to work on-site in a showroom environment, with strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet targets and use basic digital tools such as CRM systems and office software.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field preferred; knowledge of the local market and fluency in relevant local languages is an advantage.
