Finance Assistant

About the role

The Finance Assistant will support the Accountant in the Finance Department by maintaining accurate daily transaction records, preparing balance sheets, and processing invoices. This role ensures smooth financial operations and timely interactions with suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Accountant in preparing monthly Management Accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash reconciliation.
• Ensure timely payments to suppliers and follow up on outstanding invoices.
• Maintain orderly financial records for easy stakeholder access.
• Prepare monthly sales invoices and reconcile claims accounts.
• Compute pre‑payments and accruals for management meetings.
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable ageing.

Required profile

• Diploma in Accounting (ACCA Level 1 is a plus).
• 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic bookkeeping knowledge and understanding of financial regulations.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and ethical standards for handling confidential data.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
