Group Reconciliation Officer

About the role

T-soft is hiring a Group Reconciliation Officer in Ebene, Mauritius. The role keeps financial records accurate across multiple entities and currencies, working closely with the Finance, Risk and Operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily three-way reconciliations between MNO wallets, bank statements and Back Office reports
• Reconcile deposits, withdrawals, transactions and balances across entities and currencies
• Investigate, document and escalate discrepancies on the same day
• Prepare and submit daily reconciliation reports to management and operations teams
• Track outstanding reconciling items and ensure they are resolved on time
• Support month-end closing and provide documentation for internal and external audits
• Keep accurate reconciliation records and supporting documents
• Uphold internal financial controls, confidentiality and segregation of duties
• Help improve reconciliation processes and reporting accuracy

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• ACCA or CIMA qualification (part-qualified is fine)
• 3 to 5 years of experience in financial reconciliation, treasury or a similar role
• Detail-oriented, analytical, honest, discreet and able to work independently to strict daily deadlines
• Clear communicator in English, written and spoken

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including PivotTables and XLOOKUP
• Experience reconciling bank statements, mobile money transactions and financial reports
• Comfortable working with multiple entities, accounts and currencies
• A plus: experience in mobile money, fintech, banking or gaming, and SQL or BI tools
