House Attendant

About the role

Four Seasons Mauritius is looking for a House Attendant. The role ensures that all duties assigned on the Housekeeping Attendant's Daily Task Sheet are completed each day, and supports the Housekeeping Managers and Supervisors as required. The resort is located on the east coast of Mauritius, with 90 one-bedroom villas, 45 residential villas, a spa, five food and beverage venues and two golf courses.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out the day-to-day key processes in your area of work and assist your supervisor with operational requirements
• Attend scheduled training sessions, take part in briefings and meetings, and give feedback on operations, staff and guests to management
• Handle guest and internal customer requests, coordinate with other departments and follow up on special requests with the Housekeeping Desk Attendant
• Pick up work assignments from the Housekeeping Department, sign in and out the payroll sheet and floor keys, and report missing room items such as bathrobes and soap dishes
• Deliver additional linen and rollaway beds, guest requests and collect garbage and recycling on all floors
• Keep the buggy clean and in good working order, ensure water is picked up before the shift ends, and leave pantries, bins and garbage cleared
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area and adhere to the hotel's code of conduct and grooming standards

Required profile

• 1 year of previous experience in the housekeeping department of a 5-star resort or hotel
• Technical education in hospitality management is preferred
• Reading, writing and spoken proficiency in English and French
