Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

Four Seasons Mauritius is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to coordinate and supervise the cleaning and preparation of the resort's villas and residences, ensuring guests receive high-quality accommodation. The resort, which opened in October 2008, sits on the east coast of Mauritius and includes 90 one-bedroom villas, 45 residential villas, a spa, several dining venues and two golf courses.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily cleaning and preparation of villas and residences and support the supervisor with day-to-day operations
• Inspect guest rooms to hotel standards, stock and maintain the linen closet, and keep maids pantries clean and tidy
• Anticipate guest needs, handle guest requests and complaints, and coordinate with other departments for timely service
• Handle "Do Not Disturb" rooms according to hotel policy and follow up on maintenance requests
• Take part in inspections of arrival villas, ensure they are released on time (by 3:00 pm) and that PRP villas are fully prepared before engineering starts work
• Keep track of pending tasks, update room status before each shift, and report planned maintenance delays to the manager
• Ensure new recruits receive proper training and are ready to work within three months
• Participate in briefings and meetings, give feedback to management, and act as a role model and hands-on colleague during busy periods

Required profile

• 3 years of experience in housekeeping at a 5-star resort/hotel, including at least one year in a supervisory position
• Technical education in hospitality management preferred
• Excellent reading, writing and spoken English and French
• Punctuality, attention to detail, management skills and aptitude for upward mobility

Required skills

• Working knowledge of property management systems such as Fidelio and Opera
• Competent use of MSDS procedures and accident response training
