Receiving Clerk

About the role

The Receiving Clerk at One&Only Le Saint Géran receives, inspects, verifies and documents all goods delivered to the resort. The role ensures that received products match approved purchase orders, meet quality standards and are accurately recorded in the inventory system. It works closely with Procurement, Stores, Finance and operational departments to keep inventory accurate and support uninterrupted hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive deliveries according to company policy, verify quantities, quality, specifications and pricing against purchase orders and delivery notes, and report discrepancies, damage and shortages to the Receiving Supervisor or Manager.
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve receiving issues and ensure goods are labelled and moved to the correct storage areas.
• Prepare and process Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and record all receiving transactions in the inventory system.
• Match supplier invoices with purchase orders and delivery documents, file delivery notes and invoices for audit purposes, and prepare discrepancy and receiving reports.
• Work with the Stores Department on storage, inventory counts and stock reconciliations, monitor expiry dates and conditions, and support stock control to minimise losses and wastage.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene and company standards, follow internal control procedures, keep receiving areas clean and organised, comply with occupational health and safety requirements, and support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Stores, Finance, Kitchen, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Engineering and other departments, reporting delivery issues, shortages and delays in a timely way.
