Safety and Health Officer (Part-Time)

About the role

The Brand House Mu is looking for a part-time Safety and Health Officer based in Terre Rouge. The role covers developing and maintaining safety policies, carrying out risk assessments and audits, training staff and investigating accidents, with close cooperation with other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain safety policies and procedures in line with local regulations
• Carry out risk assessments for the facilities and take remedial action on identified risks
• Run monthly safety visits and audits
• Organise regular training on health and safety, emergency response and other H&S topics
• Lead investigations into accidents, injuries and near misses, and recommend corrective actions
• Develop emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first aid protocols
• Ensure appropriate PPE is provided and used correctly
• Assist in running Health & Safety Committees and report regularly to management
• Work with other departments to build a safety culture

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health
• 3 years of proven experience as a Safety and Health Officer
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices
• Good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail, problem-solving ability and calmness under pressure
