Senior Accountant – Financial Accounting & Costing

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a fast‑growing FMCG and manufacturing business in Mauritius. The role combines hands‑on accounting, cost management and financial reporting to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and analyse management accounts, costing, stock accounting and statutory reports.
• Manage general ledger entries, reconcile accounts and support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Produce financial statements for internal and external stakeholders and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain documentation, support audits and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on financial and operational matters.

Required profile

• Fully qualified CIMA or ACCA with strong practical accounting experience.
• Proven ability to independently prepare management accounts with minimal supervision.
• Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment with product costing.
• Fluent written and spoken English and strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH and complex formulas.
• Financial modelling expertise.
• SAGE accounting software proficiency.
