Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting & Analysis

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead the preparation and presentation of accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports. You will work closely with senior management, the Audit Committee, and the Board of Directors to ensure robust financial governance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present timely monthly management accounts and financial reports in line with company requirements.
• Compile quarterly financial statements for the Audit Committee and Board of Directors.
• Oversee supplier payments, ensuring proper authorisation and adherence to internal controls.
• Reconcile control accounts and maintain complete accounting records.
• Monitor customer receivables, identify payment issues, and follow up appropriately.
• Analyse revenue, expenditure and cash flow, providing insights and recommendations.
• Prepare statutory returns, tax declarations and regulatory reports for Mauritius authorities.
• Assist in annual budget preparation, including data compilation and performance analysis.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, supplying required documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• ACCA qualified or at least ACCA Level 3.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of statutory returns, taxation and regulatory requirements.
• Customer‑focused with a positive, professional attitude.
• Excellent time‑management, organisational and communication skills in English and French.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with accounting software.
