Senior Business Analyst – General Insurance Transformation

About the role
The Senior Business Analyst acts as the bridge between the General Insurance business and the teams delivering change. The role ensures that business needs are captured accurately, documented precisely, and reflected in the solutions built, starting with a core insurance platform transformation and continuing as a permanent capability within the Transformation Management Office.
Key responsibilities
- Elicit, analyse and document business requirements across underwriting, claims, finance, reinsurance, operations and distribution.
- Review and challenge supplier‑produced requirement documentation, wireframes and to‑be process designs, providing structured commentary.
- Verify that agreed requirements are correctly reflected in sign‑off documentation.
- Document as‑is and to‑be processes and maintain traceability from need through design, build and test.
- Plan and moderate workshops with business SMEs and delivery partners, keeping sessions on agenda, scope and time.
- Capture decisions, assumptions, open questions and actions and circulate outcomes promptly.
- Consolidate feedback from multiple business units and countries into a single agreed position.
- Own the end‑to‑end review and sign‑off cycle, routing documentation, following up responses and maintaining live status.
- Escalate unresolved design questions to governance forums with clear options.
- Identify scope changes and route them through change control.
- Support user acceptance testing by translating requirements into test scenarios, assisting execution and triaging defects.
- Maintain the change request and enhancement backlog for core business systems.
Required profile
- Senior‑level business analyst with extensive experience in General Insurance.
- Proven ability to work with underwriting, claims, finance, reinsurance, operations and distribution stakeholders.
- Strong facilitation skills for workshops and design sessions.
- Experience managing requirement sign‑off cycles and change control processes.
- Capability to support user acceptance testing and post‑implementation issue resolution.
- Excellent documentation and traceability skills.
