Steward – Kitchen & Dishwashing Support

About the role

Constance Sakoa Boutik is seeking a Steward to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in its kitchen and back‑of‑house areas. You will work on site in a beachfront boutique hotel, supporting the kitchen and F&B teams during regular service and special events.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery and work areas.
• Operate dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely and correctly.
• Ensure all dishes, glasses, cutlery and kitchen utensils are properly cleaned and stored.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout kitchen and back‑of‑house zones.
• Collect and dispose of waste according to hotel hygiene and environmental procedures.
• Assist with cleaning floors, walls, storage areas and designated zones.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely, storing them according to safety guidelines.
• Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, shortages or hygiene concerns to the supervisor.
• Support the team during busy periods and special events.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant or kitchen environment is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and follow health, safety and HACCP procedures.
• Attention to detail and a genuine care for guest experience.

Required skills

• Safe operation of dishwashing and cleaning equipment.
• Understanding of hygiene, food safety and proper chemical handling.
