Stewarding Supervisor - Kitchen

RIU Hotels & Resorts is hiring a Stewarding Supervisor for its kitchen department at the Le Morne hotel in Mauritius. The role contributes to the guest experience and operational excellence, and suits someone who enjoys leadership in luxury hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and take part in cleaning all kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Run the stewarding department smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards.
• Set out cleaning specifications in manual format and train staff to follow them.
• Inform the Chief Steward immediately of any sickness or absence in the department.
• Ensure the right cleaning materials are used in the right quantities and that storage of equipment and supplies is safe and orderly.
• Notify a senior member of staff immediately of any faulty or unsafe equipment.
• Make sure cutlery and crockery are available and kept clean to the highest standard whenever needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Commitment to high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
• Ability to work collaboratively and resolve problems quickly.
