Team Leader Tender Department

About the role

FTM Mauritius Ltd, a supplier of pharmaceutical products, medical and laboratory equipment, consumables and FMCG to pharmacies, clinics, hospitals, supermarkets and other clients, is hiring a Team Leader for its Tender Department. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Port Louis, overseeing the tender process from opportunity identification through submission while ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate tender documentation and prepare technical and commercial proposals
• Manage tender timelines and review tender specifications, pricing and terms
• Maintain tender records and databases and monitor tender outcomes to improve future bids
• Collaborate with sales, procurement and finance teams
• Guide and support team members, implement process improvements and build relationships with public and private sector customers

Required profile

• Previous experience in tenders, procurement, sales administration or related functions, ideally in healthcare
• Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Management or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
• Ability to work on-site in Port Louis and in a cross-functional team

Required skills

• Tender management and bid coordination, including writing technical and commercial proposals
• Analytical and numerical skills for pricing and cost analysis
• Leadership and team management, including mentoring and performance follow-up
• Proficiency in MS Office and relevant business software; experience with tender or ERP systems is an advantage
