Transient (T-Line) Production Superintendent – Aviation Operations

About the role

The Transient (T-Line) Production Superintendent will lead T‑Line operations for a critical U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. This position ensures aviation safety compliance, manages a dedicated shop, and coordinates aircraft parking, refueling and cargo support across multiple military partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide and document training for all contractor personnel performing T‑Line tasks.
• Oversee aviation safety compliance and enforce regulatory and operational standards.
• Serve as the primary source of information for T‑Line annex and Base Operating Support Contractor requirements.
• Develop and implement aircraft parking plans for two ramps, coordinating with Navy, USAF, coalition forces and AMC contract flights.
• Manage a 10‑person T‑Line shop, delivering on‑the‑job and annual training.
• Coordinate non‑organic Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) requests with the AMC annual maintenance contract.
• Work closely with Fuels and Air Traffic Control Officer (ATOC) units to schedule refueling and cargo operations.
• Notify Air Operations, AMC, ATOC and T‑Line management of maintenance delays or operational issues.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of production experience in aviation maintenance or operations (DoD or civilian equivalent).
• Experience with large‑body aircraft preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Valid U.S. or international driver’s license.
• Proven ability to develop aircraft parking plans and collaborate with multiple agencies.
• Experience managing a shop of up to 10 personnel, including OJT and annual training.
• Familiarity with coordinating non‑organic AGE requests through AMC contracts.
• Ability to work closely with Fuels and ATOC to support refueling and cargo needs.
