Warehouse and Distribution Team Leader

About the role

The Warehouse and Distribution Team Leader reports to the Head of Supply Chain and Strategic Projects and is responsible for the end‑to‑end management of warehouse and distribution activities. The role ensures smooth daily execution, maintains stock reliability, and coordinates dispatch operations while upholding safety and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and hold the warehouse and distribution team accountable for results.
• Oversee daily warehouse flow from receiving, put‑away, order picking to dispatch.
• Plan daily distribution, organise delivery activity and ensure on‑time departure with correct documentation.
• Own stock integrity, supervise cycle counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain safety, compliance and operational discipline across the function.
• Monitor operational KPIs, surface issues early and support continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading warehouse and distribution teams.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, stock accuracy and dispatch processes.
• Ability to enforce safety and compliance standards.
• Experience using scorecards, action plans and regular performance check‑ins.
