Assistant Manager - Fund Accounting

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to lead fund accounting activities for a portfolio of funds. You will be responsible for preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting client reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of all entities within the fund structure and their reporting requirements.
• Maintain processes to deliver client accounting requirements and financial reports on time.
• Apply UK GAAP, IFRS or US GAAP standards and best‑practice principles to account production.
• Establish reporting procedures for new funds based on fund documents and client needs.
• Provide guidance to the administration team for accurate bookkeeping.
• Calculate Net Asset Values according to each fund’s methodology.
• Liaise with clients, advisers and auditors to agree timetables and ensure timely audit completion.
• Attend board and client meetings to present accounts and discuss accounting matters.
• Ensure regulatory and statutory reporting requirements are met.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of fund structures and related transactions.
• Experience applying UK GAAP, IFRS or US GAAP in fund accounting.
• Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines and client expectations.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients, auditors and internal teams.
