Bike Attendant

About the role

The Bike Attendant maintains, cleans, organizes and ensures the proper functionality and presentation of guest and staff bicycles at Four Seasons Mauritius. The role supports the Housekeeping Department by keeping all bicycles and related equipment clean, safe and available for guest use, while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Clean, wash and sanitize bicycles according to established standards, and inspect them daily for cleanliness, damage and safe operation.
• Park, store and display bicycles neatly, check tire pressure, brakes, chains and lights, and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Coordinate repairs with engineering or external vendors and maintain inventory of bicycles, helmets, locks, baskets and accessories.
• Assist guests with rental, pick-up and return, explain usage rules, safety requirements and cycling routes, and respond promptly to requests.
• Follow health, safety and security procedures, keep accurate records of usage, inspections and maintenance, and report accidents or lost items immediately.
• Support general housekeeping, outdoor recreational areas, deep-cleaning projects, and deliver linen, rollaways, guest requests and collect garbage and recycling.

Required profile

• High school certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in housekeeping, recreation or bicycle operations is an advantage.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather, physically fit and able to lift and move bicycles.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and public holidays as required.

• Basic knowledge of bicycle maintenance and safety procedures.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail, teamwork, customer focus, time management, basic mechanical aptitude, reliability and integrity.
