Demi Chef de Partie

About the role

Constance Prince Maurice, a luxury resort on the northeast coast of Mauritius, is hiring a Demi Chef de Partie through its partner Hosco. You will help create exceptional dining experiences for guests and support the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie in managing the assigned kitchen section
• Prepare and cook food according to hotel recipes and standards
• Ensure mise-en-place is ready before service
• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste and presentation
• Supervise and guide Commis Chefs when required
• Store, label and rotate food correctly (FIFO)
• Follow HACCP, hygiene and safety standards
• Control wastage and help with stock management
• Keep the work area clean, organised and sanitary
• Assist during service and report equipment or quality issues to superiors

Required profile

• NC3 in Food Production or another relevant qualification
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar position in a hotel or restaurant
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
