Financial Accountant – Accounts Receivable & Fixed Assets

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to manage the full accounts‑receivable cycle and support fixed‑asset accounting for our Mauritian subsidiary. The role works closely with Supply Chain, Commercial and internal control teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and cash‑flow optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the complete AR process – billing, collections, receipt allocation and dispute management.
• Monitor customer balances, follow up overdue receivables and provide AR aging analysis for management.
• Perform monthly AR sub‑ledger to general‑ledger reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Support cash‑flow forecasting and work‑capital management, including inventory and AP coordination.
• Assist with CAPEX documentation, general‑ledger entries and month‑end / year‑end closing activities.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Commercial teams to resolve billing issues and with customers for dispute resolution.
• Contribute to statutory financial reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS and preparing disclosures for annual statements.
• Partner with internal‑control team to identify risks and recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures.

Required profile

• Experience managing full‑cycle accounts receivable and performing reconciliations.
• Familiarity with month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Knowledge of IFRS and statutory financial reporting requirements.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and support cash‑flow forecasting.
