FX Trader

About the role

Join the Global Markets Business Unit of a leading financial institution and work as an FX Trader. You will support a wide range of domestic and international clients by delivering prompt, accurate foreign‑exchange services and tailored risk‑management solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop trading relationships with targeted client segments.
• Verify and follow up on customers' trade requests to ensure timely service.
• Contribute to the bank’s P&L by exploiting market movements and implementing trading strategies.
• Monitor and manage FX trading risks within established limits and guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Global Markets and Treasury Management Sales Desk to provide optimized pricing and increase market share.
• Develop relationships with local and international counterparties for liquidity and best execution.
• Provide competitive quotes to the FX sales team and support client flows.
• Assist the FX Manager in managing open FX positions and forward exposure.
• Coach team members, share expertise, and stay current on systems, products, and regulatory changes.
• Conduct currency research, produce market commentary, and recommend strategy enhancements.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in FX trading (or 8 years in a related role).
• ACI dealing certificate or similar treasury qualification is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to adopt digital innovations, handle challenges with urgency, and build strong customer relationships.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial indicators and prioritize work.
