Senior IT Support Technician (Diego Garcia)

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Senior IT Support Technician to provide advanced Windows and server support for a U.S. government contract on Diego Garcia. The role involves hands‑on hardware work, ticket resolution, and collaboration with a remote help desk to keep workstations and user applications running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver advanced support for Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange, Windows XP, and Office environments.
• Install, configure, and maintain PC hardware, including troubleshooting and repairs.
• Manage Remedy ticketing system and assist remote help‑desk staff.
• Support UNIX and Linux systems as required.
• Maintain compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS), USG, and international guidelines.
• Provide on‑call support 24/7 as needed.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in a Microsoft operating environment with field hardware experience.
• Three years of leadership experience in an austere OCONUS setting with a multinational workforce.
• U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain a Secret clearance, and a valid U.S. passport and driver’s license.
• Willingness to meet PACOM medical requirements and work in remote, uncomfortable conditions.
