Server / Waiter

About the role

Four Seasons Mauritius is looking for a waiter/waitress to take orders and serve food and beverages to guests in the resort's restaurants, bars and pool and beach areas. The server must be constantly aware of guest satisfaction to deliver a perfect service experience.

Key responsibilities

• Serve guests in a friendly, efficient manner while keeping the work area clean and safe
• Prepare mise-en-place, set up and clear tables and sunbeds, and maintain high standards of hygiene and order
• Take orders, serve food and beverages and describe menu items clearly and accurately
• Anticipate guest needs, suggest alternatives, record guest preferences and handle complaints promptly
• Post guest checks, process payments and follow control procedures
• Work flexibly between outlets such as Angara, Radici, Chaloupe, In Villa Dining, the Private Bar, Ti Pawson, the Lobby Bar, Pool and Beach and Ile au Cerf

Required profile

• 1 to 2 years of experience in 5-star hotels/resorts or reputable restaurants
• Excellent English, maths and psychometric abilities
• Aptitude and willingness to move up within the hotel
• Technical education in Hospitality Management preferred
• Basic wine knowledge preferred
