Villa Host

About the role

Constance Le Chaland, a luxury resort on the south-eastern coast of Mauritius, is looking for a Villa Host. The role covers the entire guest stay, from preparing the villa before arrival to supporting the guest during the stay and handling departure formalities.

Key responsibilities

• Before arrival: assist the Front Office Team if villas are vacant, ensure vacant villas are on Vacant Clean mode, finalise the guest bill and handle payment formalities, pack up luggage on guest request and hand over the departure letter from the Villa Manager.
• Before departure: final check of invoices 72 hours before departure, coordinate and organise transfers, collect a copy of the bill from the Front Office so the guest can check consumption and settle payment, and encourage guests to post positive reviews on TripAdvisor and ReviewPro.
• During the stay: prepare the welcome registration card and welcoming letter with the Front Office Team, welcome guests and check them in directly into the villa, coordinate daily activities with other departments and with the F&B outlets for meals and BBQs, note guest habits and hobbies for the guest history, propose personalised services to the guest, and deep clean the villa and its surroundings (and back-to-back villas).
• Ensure villa inventory such as linen and products is available, follow up on special requests, and prepare the villa with guest preferences and amenities half an hour before arrival, including a welcome cocktail, champagne in an ice bucket and fruit bowls where applicable.

Required profile

• Middle or secondary education plus additional training or certificates in the relevant field.
• At least 1 year of experience in the hotel industry, with proven experience in top luxury resorts.
• Fluency in English and another language, written and spoken; knowledge of a third language is a plus.
