House Attendant - Four Seasons Mauritius

About the role

Four Seasons Mauritius is looking for a House Attendant for its resort on the east coast of Mauritius, which opened in October 2008 and features 90 one-bedroom villas, residential villas, five food and beverage venues, a spa, two tennis courts and a fitness center. The House Attendant ensures that all duties on the Housekeeping Attendant's Daily Task Sheet are completed each day and assists Housekeeping Managers and Supervisors as required.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out the day-to-day key processes in the assigned area and assist the supervisor with operational requirements
• Attend scheduled training sessions, take part in briefings and meetings, and give operational, employee and customer feedback to management
• Answer guest and internal customer calls, coordinate with other departments and deliver guest requests and pick-up work assignments from the Housekeeping Department
• Deliver additional linen and rollaway to guest rooms and collect garbage and recycling on all floors
• Sign in and out the payroll sheet and floor keys, and report missing room items such as bathrobes and soap dishes
• Ensure water is picked up before the shift ends, keep the buggy clean and in good working order, and make sure pantries, bins and garbage are cleared
• Keep the work area clean and orderly, promote safety, and act as a role model and team player during busy periods

Required profile

• 1 year of previous experience in the housekeeping department of a 5-star resort or hotel
• Technical education in hospitality management is preferred
• Reading, writing and spoken proficiency in English and French
