Food & Beverage Server - Awase Pan-Asian Restaurant

About the role

Four Seasons Mauritius is hiring a Food & Beverage server for Awase, one of the island's premier Pan-Asian restaurants. The role involves taking food and beverage orders, serving guests and attending to their needs while delivering exceptional hospitality standards. The resort, which opened in October 2008, sits on the east coast of Mauritius and features 90 one-bedroom villas, 45 residential villas, five dining venues, a spa, two tennis courts and a fitness center.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare mise-en-place, set up and clear tables, and maintain high standards of hygiene and orderliness
• Take orders, serve food and beverages and describe menu items clearly and accurately
• Anticipate guest needs, suggest alternatives, record guest preferences and handle guest complaints promptly
• Post guest checks, process payments and follow control procedures
• Requisition supplies, promote hotel services and products, and act as host/hostess in the work area
• Perform duties across different Food & Beverage outlets when required

Required profile

• 1-2 years of experience in 5-star hotels/resorts or reputable stand-alone restaurants
• Excellent English, math and psychometric abilities
• Aptitude and potential for career growth
• Technical education in Hospitality Management preferred
