Server - Awase Pan-Asian Restaurant

About the role

A Four Seasons resort on the east coast of Mauritius is looking for a server for its Awase Pan-Asian restaurant. The role is to take food and beverage orders accurately, serve guests efficiently and deliver exceptional hospitality. Awase is described as one of the island's premier Pan-Asian restaurants.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare mise-en-place, set up and clear tables, and act as host/hostess in the work area
• Take orders, serve food and beverages, and describe menu items clearly and concisely
• Anticipate guest needs, suggest alternatives, and handle guest complaints promptly
• Keep the work area clean and safe, and assist colleagues during busy periods
• Requisition supplies, post guest checks, process payments and follow control procedures
• Respond to requests across different Food & Beverage outlets

Required profile

• 1-2 years of experience in 5-star hotels/resorts or reputable stand-alone restaurants
• Excellent English, math and psychometric abilities
• Technical education in Hospitality Management preferred
• Basic wine knowledge preferred
