Waiter – Italian Restaurant

About the role

Join the Italian Restaurant team at One&Only Le Saint Géran, a luxury resort in Mauritius. As a Waiter you will deliver the highest standards of hospitality, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless dining experience in the restaurant, bar, lounge or room‑service settings.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, present menus and inform them of daily specials.
• Take food and beverage orders using a handheld POS system, noting any special dietary requests.
• Process payments, issue receipts and return change accurately.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
• Serve dishes and drinks, pour wine tableside, and replenish utensils and glasses.
• Maintain cleanliness of service areas, reset tables for the next seating and assist with stock replenishment.
• Fill in for absent staff, act as a runner when required, and uphold grooming and appearance standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in restaurant or hotel service is preferred.
• Familiarity with basic cooking techniques and food safety.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate guest needs.
• Professional demeanor with a friendly, courteous attitude.
