About the role
Join Absa’s Payments team to capture and process inbound and outbound payments, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery. You will act as a key liaison between customers, relationship managers and internal stakeholders, supporting the bank’s commitment to excellent customer experience.
Key responsibilities
- Handle payment operations including pre‑processing, pre‑vetting, scanning and call‑backs.
- Communicate payment status and queries with customers and relationship managers.
- Maintain high standards of internal control and adhere to Absa banking practices and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and internal filing requirements.
- Escalate complaints to supervisors or managers as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver consistent performance and provide coverage when required.
- Assist in producing management information and monthly statistics when requested.
Required profile
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in payment processing or a similar banking function.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management, Finance or a related field.
