Accountant 1 – Corporate Accounting

About the role

This is an entry‑level position in corporate accounting, responsible for delivering basic accounting services under supervision. The role focuses on standardized processes, routine financial operations and the development of core accounting competencies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, account reconciliations and working papers with guidance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Support daily accounting operations by processing transactions, managing assigned mailboxes and maintaining source documents.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including data compilation for periodic and annual accounts.
• Support tax/VAT filings, respond to audit queries and contribute to regulatory reporting activities.
• Maintain quality standards through self‑review, checklist completion and independent resolution of routine queries.

Required profile

• HSC with strong numerical skills and currently studying for ACCA, ACA or equivalent, or a university degree holder.
• 0–1 years of internship or professional experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of financial statements.
• Experience with account reconciliation and bookkeeping processes.
• Familiarity with tax/VAT filing procedures and audit support.
