Accountant 3 – Private Wealth Accounting

About the role

This position delivers sophisticated accounting services for complex private‑wealth portfolios. The successful candidate will perform advanced accounting tasks while upholding the highest standards of quality, compliance and technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Execute sophisticated accounting functions including periodic bookkeeping, reconciliations, and preparation of complex financial statements with comprehensive disclosures for private‑wealth clients.
• Ensure full accounting and regulatory compliance by monitoring reporting deadlines, managing compliance requirements, and independently resolving audit queries and reviewer comments.
• Handle moderate to high‑complexity accounting matters, including computation of complex tax and VAT requirements, and prepare tailored client deliverables.
• Drive quality standards across all deliverables by reviewing working papers and schedules, maintaining technical accuracy, and developing specialised expertise in private‑wealth accounting services.
• Escalate complex technical matters to senior team members and perform other duties as assigned to support business requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or ACCA Level 2 or ACA qualification.
• At least 4 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 2 years in fund accounting.
