Accountant / Assistant Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Accountant / Assistant Accountant to join Qair’s finance team. The role supports the preparation of management accounts, statutory filings and tax compliance for our renewable‑energy operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual management account packs, including trial balance, profit and loss statement, balance sheet, bank reconciliations, cash flow statements and other financial reports.
• Prepare and file statutory returns such as VAT and TDS in a timely manner.
• Compile annual tax computations and submit tax filings.
• Oversee and review journal entries in the accounting system.
• Maintain robust internal controls and accounting systems.
• Assist with audit and tax‑related queries.
• Perform any other cognate duties as assigned.

Required profile

• ACCA Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
• 3–5 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in an accounting role.
• Experience in accounting for a domestic company.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in an audit firm is an advantage.
